ACC Men's Basketball Power Rankings: Did Clemson remain on top?

Last week Clemson was on top of the ACC Power Rankings for men's basketball and did they remain in the top spot a week later after suffering their first loss to Memphis?

Last week, the Clemson men's basketball team held the top spot in the ACC Power Rankings, but there were several teams on their heels, including Virginia. This past week was a big exam week for a lot of the schools and therefore there were not as many games as usual. With that said, it's time for the latest power rankings.

ACC Men's Basketball Power Rankings (Dec. 11-17)

Just when you think things couldn't get any worse for the Cardinals, last week happened. Louisville lost at home by 12 points to Arkansas State and calls into question whether Kenny Payne is the right guy to lead them through a massive rebuild. Sunday they blew out Pepperdine by 22 points to save Payne's job until the interstate battle with the Wildcats this week.

Game this week: Dec. 21 vs. Kentucky

ACC. 14. . . . . 443. . (4-6, 0-1).

The only reason the Irish are out of the bottom is because of Louisville. Saturday, they suffered a loss against Georgetown and right now look like a team that needs to win their two upcoming games this week to get back to .500 at the Holiday break.

Games this week: Dec. 19 vs. The Citedal, Dec. 22 vs. Marist

The Seminoles got an up close look at one of the three new members of the ACC beginning next season at home Saturday night and lost to SMU. The 11-point loss for FSU leaves them just under the .500 mark with a sneaky good non-conference opponent this week in Winthrop.
