The Cardinals are the third and final ACC team playing on this day, in the Holiday Bowl against a USC team that serverly underachieved this season. The Trojans have been gutted by the transfer portal and quarterback Caleb Williams opted out to get ready for the NFL Draft. Louisville has had some key pieces opt-out as well, which takes a lot of luster away from this game.

Boston College had a five-game winning streak in the middle of the season to get to 6-3, however, they lost their final three ACC game to Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh and Miami to finish at .500 and had to settle for the Wasabi Fenway Bowl at Fenway Park, down the street from their campus. SMU, which becomes a member of the ACC next season with Stanford and California, is coming off a win over Tulane in the AAC Championship game and is a team that can light up a scoreboard each time they take the field.

Rutgers, which owns a 35-16 victory over Virginia Tech this season back in September, will play the Hurricanes at Yankee Stadium in the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl. Miami is a team that it feels like underachieved this season and this is a game that can go either way.
