The Blue Devils played without Jeremy Roach and Mark Mitchell against Pittsburgh, but that's no excuse for losing at home to the Panthers. Again, the most stunning result of the last seven days.

Like everyone else around them, the Wolfpack split their two games laast week, but their loss to Virginia Tech is slightly better than Duke's to Pittsburgh. NC State will get a pair of road tests this week against two teams right behind the standings.

Is there any doubt as to who would be here? The Tar Heels won a tough road game at Boston College and now return home on a short turnaround against the Demon Deacons before a dangerous trip to FSU over the weekend.
