It was a wild first full week of January for the ACC in men's basketball and here are the latest power rankings after some surprising upsets.

The first full week of ACC men's basketball games was filled with some surprising scores and the top team in the first couple of rankings took a major tumble following a pair of losses, one on the road and one at home. With the said, let's fire up the latest power rankings for this week.

ACC Power Rankings (Jan. 1-7)

It was another week with a pair of losses for the Cardinals who lost at Virginia then at home to Pittsburgh, who entered the game winless. Things don't get any easier for Kenny Payne and his team this upcoming week.

Games this week: Jan. 10 at Miami, Jan. 13 at North Carolina State

The Fighting Irish lost both games at home, but they were very competitive games against NC State and Duke. They lost by two to the Wolfpack at the buzzer and eight to the Blue Devils. Micah Shrewsbury has his team battling each night.

It was a tough week for the Yellow Jackets who lost at Florida State and at home to Boston College in a game where they gave up 95 points for the Eagles first ACC win. Not a great to start league play after beating Duke in December.
