ACC 2023 Football Power Rankings: Where did Virginia Tech finish?

Now that the 2023 college football season is over for the ACC, where did Virginia Tech finish after the conference completed all of its bowl games in the ACC Football Power Rankings?

9-4. . . . 442. 3. ACC. . .

The Wolfpack were one of the more complete teams this season and quarterback Brennan Armstrong became a tough signal caller to contain. Linebacker Peyton Wilson was a tackling machine and they finished the season with wins at Virginia Tech and at home against North Carolina. They tripped up against Kansas State in the Pop-Tarts Bowl, one of the best-named bowls, but have a bright outlook for 2024.

The Cardinals had some of the most head-scratching losses this season and it cost them a real shot at a New Year's Six Bowl and a CFP spot. They lost at Pittsburgh and Duke, then got beat at home on Thanksgiving Weekend against Kentucky before losing to USC in the Holiday Bowl with some key pieces opting out of the game.

Despite the 63-3 loss to Georgia in the Orange Bowl, the Seminoles proved to be the best team in the ACC from start to finish. They got hosed by the CFP Committee in terms of being left out, but at this point, it is what it is. Over the offseason, one of the storylines to follow is what their future holds in the ACC.
