If there is one thing that we have learned over the years in college football, it's that Lane Kiffin is never afraid to troll on social media or point out the obvious. If we're being honest, he does more trolling than anything.

When it comes to Kiffin on the sidelines, wherever he has gone, he has won. What is also true, wherever he leaves a place, he burns a lot of bridges. The latest bridge that he is burning was at Ole Miss. After leading the Rebels to an 11-1 season and likely a home College Football Playoff game later this month, he bolted for Baton Rouge and LSU. He left behind some angry fans and players in Oxford.

Kiffin was been a great recruiter whether it's through the Transfer Portal or getting the top high school recruits, he always is in the mix for the top talent. Case in point, when his plane from Oxford to Baton Rouge landed on Sunday afternoon in Louisiana, the nation's No. 1 recruit, five-star LSU commit met with the programs new coach an hour after he landed.

On Wednesday, new Virginia Tech football coach James Franklin secured a massive Class of 2026 recruiting group in Blacksburg. He joined 247Sports in the afternoon after securing his commits and commented on what has happened at Tech since he was hired two and a half weeks ago.

"I must admit I haven't slept much,'' said Franklin. "I'm a little envious because I saw other coaches that got hired... none of their commits de-committed from those schools... One guy landed his plane, and the No. 1 recruit in the country was waiting for him."

Thursday morning, Kiffin responded with a social media post, which really shouldn't come as a surprise.

Kiffin clearly is using Franklin's comments to promote his new program. The comments from Franklin were simply comparing how different each job is and how recruiting is different at each school. Kiffin saw an opportunity and jumped on it.

Both coaches are settling into their new jobs, and it'll be interesting to see how they both fare. Kiffin will have LSU in the hunt for a National Championship, and Franklin will revive the Hokies program and turn them into an ACC contender. Who doesn't love college football?
