Last March, before the NCAA Tournament started, the writing on the wall was there that Kenny Brooks might be leaving Virginia Tech as the women's basketball coach. Reports out of Kentucky had Brooks linked to the Wildcats job in Lexington.

As to no one's surprise, shortly after the Hokies were eliminated in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at the hands of Baylor, it was announced that Brooks was leaving Blacksburg for Kentucky. As expected, Georgia Amoore and Clara Strack followed him to Big Blue Nation.

We are less than a month away from the college basketball season beginning and practices are well underway. Friday night, Kentucky held their Big Blue Madness and it was the first one for the former Hokies coach. Let's just say, he made quite the entrance.

Kenny Brooks makes odd entrance to Big Blue Madness

During his time in Blacksburg, Brooks transformed the women's basketball team from the bottom up and had them in the Final Four just two seasons ago. With all the success he had, it was only a matter of time before other schools noticed and tried to pluck him away from Virginia Tech. Kentucky did that and his first Big Blue Madness entrance was, well, something else. Check it out for yourself.

Again, that was something, to say the least. Brooks had an entrance that just doesn't seem to be him, but changes can change people. Kentucky has a huge fanbase that is supportive like Virginia Tech's, but that was something else. It's going to be interesting to see how his first season in Lexington goes, but one thing is for sure, that was something else for an entrance to Big Blue Madness, his first one. College basketball is so back and so are the storylines.
