How to Watch Virginia Tech vs. Boston College With & Without Cable
By Scott Roche
After a dominating 31-7 win at Stanford last weekend, the Virginia Tech football team had their first of two byes this weekend in 2024. It will be a short week for the Hokies who will return to Lane Stadium on Thursday night to begin the second half of their schedule by hosting Boston College.
Like Virginia Tech, the Eagles are coming into the game off a bye, but they lost last weekend at Virginia, 24-14. Thursday night games in Blacksburg are something special each season and the Hokies are hoping this season's battle will be too. It is a sold-out game and here is all the streaming information you need to watch the game.
How to Watch Boston College at Virginia Tech with & without cable
If it's a Thursday night game, that means one thing, it's an ESPN game at 7:30. The good news for Hokies' fans with DIRECTV, Disney, and the company have long ended their stalemate and they will be televised without interuption.
Along with being on ESPN, the game will also be available on the ESPN app and FuboTV. This will be the second game for both teams on ESPN. Virginia Tech was on ESPN in the season-opener at Vanderbilt in their 34-27 loss in overtime to the Commodores when Diego Pavia couldn't be stopped by Chris Marve's defense.
Boston College was on ESPN on Labor Day night when they went down to Florida State and beat the Seminoles, 28-13, in Bill O'Brien's first game as coach of the Eagles. So far they are 4-2 following their loss to the Cavaliers and are not the same team that the Hokies steamrolled up in Chestnut Hill last November. This is going to be a very entertaining game between two good teams on Thursday night at Lane Stadium, a Hokies fans dream.
