For the second straight NBA Summer League, former Virginia Tech standout Keve Aluma is suiting up for the Philadelphia 76ers in Las Vegas. He's trying to stick with them, whether it's on the NBA roster or their G League affiliate. Through three games, he has been playing well and helped the 76ers pick up their first Summer League win on Tuesday night in Nevada.

At the Thomas and Mack Center, Philadelphia rolled to a 74-58 victory over the Washington Wizards, and Aluma had another strong game off the bench for the Sixers. In 15 minutes off the bench, the former Hokies forward had 12 points to power four players in double figures. Alima also had five rebounds and shot 50% from the floor, making four of his eight field goals, including two of his 3-point attempts.

The Maryland native has been having his moments this summer for Philadelphia in Las Vegas, and this was the second game where Aluma scored in double figures. In a 111-70 loss to the San Antonio Spurs on July 10, he also scored 12 points, but this time he played 20 minutes and once again shot 50% from the field, going 5-for-10 and with three rebounds.

Aluma and the 76ers have another game Wednesday night when they play the Dallas Mavericks at 8 o'clock on ESPN. Philly's roster features some promising young ACC talent, including former Syracuse standout Juda Mintz and Hunter Sallis from Wake Forest. Former Auburn big and standout Johni Broome is also playing after Philadelphia picked him in the second round, 35th overall, in June's NBA Draft.

Next season Virginia Tech should be represented again in Las Vegas with incoming freshman Neoklis Avdalas and senior Tobi Lawal likely drawing interest at the NBA Draft next June. Should Lawla not get drafted, there is no doubt a team will sign him to their Summer League roster and allow him to showcase his ability for the next level.
