It has been mention before, college sports is turning into the professional sports verion of free agency. It doesn't matter the sport, money talks and the portal has become the quiest and easiest way to make money and move.

With that comes tampering like in all sports. Nobody is going to admit to it, but you know it happens. I mean, entering the transfer portal with a "no contract tag" is a telling sign that something was and is up. It's no secret.

However, some teams do tamper and Virginia football coach Tony Elliott was accused of it by Colorado football coach Deion Sanders. In a video released, Sanders had a message for Elliott and the Cavaliers after they tried to lure one of Colorado's top defensive players into the portal.

Sanders called out Elliott for reportedly offering Buffs safety Carter Stoutmire "a bag" to come to Charlottesville. This past season for Colorado, Stoutmire had a breakout year with 43 tackles, which was good enough to finish sixth on the team.

“Carter got offered a bag. What’s the school that offered you the bag? Virginia. Virginia, you got to stop,” Sanders said in a X video. “I’ll let you have one. I ain’t saying nothing about it. Come on, now. Come on. We let you have one. I ain’t say nothing about it.”

Message sent, and you have to think, message received by Elliott. Stoutmire, who hails from Texas, confirmed that he isn't going anywhere and sticking by the side of Sanders in Boulder and that no amount of money would get him to leave.

“I don’t think there’s a number out there that could get me to leave,''' said Stoutmire.

It'll be interesting what Elliott has to say, but I can guarantee you that he'll have "no comment." Desperate times call for desperate measures, apparently.
