If you have been paying attention to the news over the last couple of days, you know that there is the potential for a major storm across the Midwest to the southeast, all the way up to New England. With the potential for some horrendous traveling conditions, some conferences are beginning to adjust times and channels for games on Saturday in men's basketball. The ACC is one conference that announced some changes, and it includes the Hokies.

Virginia Tech is scheduled to play at No. 23 Louisville on Saturday afternoon, and the ACC announced that the start time for the game was going to be moved up 90 minutes from 3:45 p.m. ET to 2:15 p.m. ET. The game will still air on the CW Network. Here is a complete list of changes, so far, by the conference,

  • Wake Forest at Duke, moves from 5:45 p.m. to Noon (The CW Network)
  • North Carolina at Virginia, moved from 2 p.m to Noon (ESPN2)
  • Virginia Tech at Louisville, moved from 3:45 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. (The CW Network)
  • NC State at Pittsburgh, Noon (ESPNU)

Virginia Tech looks to continue winning ways against Cardinals

On Wednesday in Central New York, the Hokies trailed by seven points at halftime to Syracuse before they outscored them, 46-37, in the second half for a 76-74 victory in a huge win for their NCAA Tournament résumé. Leading by nine points with just over a minute left, Tech survived another late-game meltdown to hang on.

That was a late 9 p.m. tip time, and the game didn't get over until almost 11:30 p.m. ET because of all the second-half fouls and free throws attempted by each team. However, when the dust settled, the Hokies picked up a vital win and will look to do the same against Louisville on Saturday afternoon, along with beating Mother Nature.
