Week 3 is in the books, and the ACC once again had some wild games both in the conference schedule and in the non-conference. It was a very tough weekend for coaches on the hot seat, even in wins.
As a whole, it was not a great weekend in terms of non-conference games, with Florida State losing at Alabama, North Carolina State losing in incredible fashion at Vanderbilt, and Virginia getting smacked in the mouth by West Virginia at a neutral site in Charlotte. It wasn't an enjoyable cross-country flight from Northern California to Durham, North Carolina, for the Cardinal, who were steamrolled by Duke. Not much was expected from Stanford this season, and that might end up being the case.

One week after beating Rutgers, the Eagles edge Maine, 22-16. Next up for the Eagles is Virginia Tech, and Bill O'Brien acknowledged after the win over the Black Bears that they have a lot to clean up before playing the Hokies. Virginia Tech needs to be ready to go on Saturday in Chestnut Hill.
After home losses to Colorado and Tennessee to begin the season, the Yellow Jackets picked up a feel-good win over Mercer on Saturday.
