Another week is down in the ACC men's basketball conference schedule, and some teams are beginning to separate themselves in terms of seeding for the conference tournament next month. We are entering the final week of February with some teams that have work to do to even qualify for the ACC Tournament.

It is rare to have a non-conference game this time of the year, but Duke played on Saturday night in Washington and beat Michigan in a classic game that felt like an NCAA Tournament game. It was a big win for the Blue Devils. With another week down, here are the latest ACC Men's Basketball Power Rankings.

ACC Men's Basketball Power Rankings February 23

  • 18. Boston College (9-18, 2-12 ACC): The Eagles came close to pulling an upset at Florida State, but have lost eight in a row after losing to the Seminoles and then at SMU.
  • 17. Georgia Tech (11-17, 2-13 ACC): The Yellow Jackets have lost nine in a row and feel like a team that will miss the ACC Tournament unless they can find a couple of wins somewhere.
  • 16. Pittsburgh (10-17, 3-11 ACC): The Panthers kept their ACC Tournament hopes alive with a win at home against Notre Dame on Saturday.
  • 15. Notre Dame (12-15, 3-11 ACC): For now, the Irish are holding down the last spot in the ACC Tournament if the season ended today.
  • 14. Stanford (16-11, 5-9 ACC): The Cardinal dropped one on the road at Cal, but feels like a safe bet to make the conference tournament next month.
  • 13. Wake Forest (14-13, 5-9 ACC): The Demon Deacons had a three-game winning streak snapped at Virginia Tech on Saturday.
  • 12. Syracuse (15-13, 6-9 ACC): The Orange have dropped their last two, despite giving UNC a battle at home before the Tar Heels pulled away at the Dome.
  • 11. Florida State (14-13, 7-7 ACC): The Seminoles remained on a heater with two more wins last week. They are quickly becoming a team that nobody is going to want to see at the ACC Tournament.
  • 10. Virginia Tech (18-10, 7-8 ACC): The Hokies split a pair of games, losing by a point at Miami in a heartbreaker before rolling over Wake Forest at home.
  • 9. California (19-8, 7-7 ACC): The Golden Bears and the Hokies are hanging around the NCAA Tournament bubble and need every win they can get.
  • 8. Clemson (20-8, 10-5 ACC): The Tigers have dropped four in a row, which began with a loss to Virginia Tech at home. Brad Brownell's crew is playing itself onto the NCAA Tournament bubble with another loss.
  • 7. SMU (19-8, 8-6 ACC): The Mustangs avoid a "bad " loss by routing Boston College at home on Saturday.
  • 6. North Carolina (21-6, 9-5 ACC): The Tar Heels bounced back from a loss at NC State with a nice win at Syracuse on Saturday.
  • 5. North Carolina State (19-8, 10-4 ACC): The Wolfpack had a nice win over North Carolina, but they have a huge test this week at Virginia.
  • 4. Louisville (20-7, 9-5 ACC): The Cardinals split the week and are still in the mix for a double-bye at the ACC Tournament.
  • 3. Miami (21-6, 10-4 ACC): The Hurricanes edged the Hokies, then dropped a tough one at Charlottesville against Virginia.
  • 2. Virginia (24-3, 12-2 ACC): The Cavaliers have a week where they host NC State, then travel to Duke on Saturday afternoon. They have a chance to be in first place by this time next week.
  • 1. Duke (25-2, 13-1 ACC): As mentioned above, the Blue Devils picked up a massive win over Michigan on Saturday to move up as the current projected No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
