After a long offseason, the college basketball season is back on Monday night. Since last March, there has been a ton of turnover with rosters and some coaching changes. In this day and age of NIL, it doesn't take long for coaches to beef up the roster and go from near the bottom of the standings to the top. Several teams are hoping that is the case in 2025-26.
Before the season begins, all teams have visions of making the NCAA Tournament, but when it comes to the ACC, they tend not to get as many teams as other power conferences. That seems to be the narrative still going into the upcoming season, a trend the conference would like to change. With that said, here is the preseason edition of the ACC Men's Basketball Power Rankings.

These will likely be blown up before conference play begins next month, as there will be some non-conference results that open some eyes. It's college basketball; we always get it early in any season. This season shouldn't be different.
Duke lost a lot of talent from their Final Four team last year, but Jon Scheyer always reloads. Louisville is a team that could easily win the conference under Pat Kelsey, and expect a big season from North Carolina. After that, NC State and Virginia have new coaches, Syracuse needs to make the tournament, and maybe the biggest darkhorse and unknown going into the season is Virginia Tech under veteran coach Mike Young. It's hard to believe, but the college hoop season is finally here. Let the fun begin!
