ACC Men's Basketball Power Rankings: Duke has trio of challengers for top spot

With ACC play set to begin in earnest, here is the latest ACC men's basketball power rankings.

Talk about an up-and-down start to the season. The Irish won their first four games, dropped five in two, including one to Elon, and are currently on a three-game winning streak. Ah yes, the first two months of a college basketball season where anything is possible.

Fresh off a run to the Final Four, the Wolfpack's four losses have come to Texas, Kansas, Purdue, and BYU. They get a good test Tuesday at Virginia looking for their second ACC win in as many games.

The Cardinals have split their first two ACC games, losing to Duke and beating Florida State, but they have wins over Indiana and West Virginia in the Bahamas. They get another early-season test on Wednesday against North Carolina.

After missing out on the NCAA Tournament last season, the Demon Deacons got mixed results in the non-conference and will look to fare better this season in the ACC to bolster their bid for the tourney this season.

The Cardinal have impressed early in their first year in the ACC and now will get their chance to prove their worth once conference play and travel kick in quickly.
