Now that the non-conference schedules are done, it's time to turn the full attention of the men's basketball season in the ACC to conference play. It hasn't been the best first two months for the conference which aside from a couple of teams, has struggled.
Every team has played at least one conference game and some even have snuck two in. This week, ACC games are scheduled for Tuesday, New Year's Eve, and Wednesday New Year's Day to kick things off in earnest. With that said, let's fire up the latest power rankings.

Beginning the season with a new roster and some younger players playing a big role, the Hokies struggled to a losing record of 5-6 in the non-conference, although they almost pulled off a shocker in their ACC opener a couple of weeks ago, losing by five to Pittsburgh at home.
My, how things have fallen in South Florida. A disastrous start to the season was compounded by head coach Jim Larranaga stepping down a few days ago. Hard to believe they were a Final Four team a few years ago.
The Eagles have won five of their eight non-conference games, but they have dropped ACC games to Wake Forest and SMU.
