Nine weeks into the season, and some teams are beginning to separate themselves in the ACC. Georgia Tech continued to prove that they are one of the top teams in the conference, while other teams in the mix for a spot in the ACC Championship Game in Charlotte in December did what they had to do this late in the season: find a way to win and survive to next week.

With that said, let's fire up the latest ACC power rankings through nine weeks in the 2025 season as we head into November next weekend.

Week 9 ACC Football Power Rankings

17. Boston College (1-7, 0-5)

  • Last Week: 17
  • The Eagles battled Louisville down until the end, but another setback eliminated them from bowl contention in what could be a one or two-win season in Chestnut Hill.

16. North Carolina (2-5, 0-3)

  • Last Week: 16
  • UNC took Virginia to overtime, only to lose 17-16 when they were stopped on a game-winning two-point conversion attempt. Things continue to be a struggle for Bill Belichick in Year 1 in Chapel Hill.

15. Syracuse (3-5, 1-4)

  • Last Week: 13
  • The Orange traveled to Atlanta and was Georgia Tech's latest victim this week. They host North Carolina on Friday night.

14. Florida State

  • Last Week: 14
  • The Seminoles were off this week after last week's loss at Stanford. Mike Norvell will survive until the end of the season before things get interesting.

13. Stanford (3-5, 2-3)

  • Last Week: 12
  • The Cardinal traveled to Miami and scored the first the game's first down before the Hurricanes hung the final 42 points on them.

12. North Carolina State (4-4, 2-2)

  • Last Week: 11
  • NC State came out of a bye week and allowed 53 points at Pittsburgh in a 19-point loss. You get the feeling that Dave Doeren's seat is getting hotter by the week in Raleigh.

11. Virginia Tech (3-5, 2-2)

  • Last Week: 15
  • The Hokies came off their first bye and rallied in the second half to beat California in double overtime, in what was a big gut-check win at home. They get Louisville this weekend in Blacksburg.

10. Clemson (3-4, 2-3)

  • Last Week: 10
  • The Tigers were off this week and return home to face Duke in what is an under-the-radar matchup on Saturday afternoon.

9. California (5-3, 2-2)

  • Last Week: 7
  • The Golden Bears started slow, played great, then ended slow in a double OT loss to Virginia Tech. They get a hot Virginia team at home this weekend.

8. Duke: (4-3, 3-1)

  • Last Week: 8
  • The Blue Devils were on a bye and head to Clemson looking to bounce back from their loss to Georgia Tech two weeks ago.

7. SMU (5-3, 3-1)

  • Last Week: 6
  • The Mustangs suffered their first ACC regular season loss since joining the conference two years ago at Wake Forest. It was a gut-wrenching loss as they head home to host Miami.

6. Wake Forest (5-2, 2-2)

  • Last Week: 9
  • Jake Dickert picked up a signature win in his first season in Winston-Salem as the Demon Deacons beat SMU on a 50-yard Connor Calvert field goal as time expired.

5. Pittsburgh (6-2, 3-1)

  • Last Week: 5
  • The Panthers put up video game numbers against NC State to hang around in the standings and keep their ACC Championship Game hopes alive.

4. Miami (6-1, 2-1)

  • Last Week: 4
  • The Hurricanes had a slow start, allowing the first touchdown, but when they turned it on, Stanford had no answers in a 35-point Miami victory.

3. Louisville (6-1, 3-1)

2. Virginia (7-1, 4-0)

  • Last Week: 2
  • The Cavaliers continue to find ways to win games, this time stopping North Carolina on a game-winning two-point conversion attempt in overtime. Good teams find ways to win, and Virginia is doing that in 2025.

1. Georgia Tech (8-0, 5-0)

  • Last Week: 1
  • The Yellow Jackets continue to roll along with a win over Syracuse at home, inching closer to securing their spot in Charlotte in early December.
