All the attention recently in recruiting has been on football when it comes to the Class of 2026, but things are about to pick up with basketball recruits. One fast-rising Class of 2026 forward is Quinn Costello who has been racking up the offers recently.
The Massachusetts native is hearing from a number of schools that have ended up offering him, including Mike Young and Virginia Tech. He has over two dozen offers and a lot of those came in June, including one from the Hokies. As his list continues to grow, on ACC blue blood entered the mix by offering him a scholarship and will make the recruitment by Young and his staff that much harder.
Hubert Davis and North Carolina offer Quinn Costello a scholarship
As is the case every summer, Hubert Davis and North Carolina are usually in on the top prospects and fast risers and Costello is no different. Davis and UNC swooped in and offered the 6-foot-10 Boston native and it is his seventh ACC offer.
In June alone, Costello picked up offers from Vanderbilt, Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, Virginia Tech, Penn State, Boston College, Michigan, Purdue, Texas, Michigan State, Syracuse, Texas A&M, Providence, Wake Forest, and Maryland, and former Hokeis' coach Buzz Williams who is entering his first season with the Terps. Costello also holds offers from ACC schools Notre Dame and Stanford.
Costello is quickly ending up on teams' radar, and it's surprising. He has a Top 75 prospect currently, coming in at 72, and is a difference-maker on both ends of the floor. He is a stretch forward who can score in multiple ways, while being a god defender who can defend multiple positions for The Newman School. He is a rim protector as a shot-blocker and would be a perfect fit for Young's lineup with his ability to play at both ends of the floor.
