Bowl season is crazy, but it’s even crazier with the transfer portal opening before the game's kick-off. This season, the ACC struggled mightly losing 11 of the 13 games they played some of the games were not close and some had disappointing losses to non-power conference teams. It shouldn’t be that surprising with the current state of college football.

The conference got teams in the new 12-team College Football Playoff after Clemson sneaked into the ACC Championship Game and beat SMU on a field goal as time expired. The Tigers got the automatic bid while the Mustangs were an at-large team. Both teams lost the opening weekend of the CFP on the road.

As far as the other 11 games, only two teams, Louisville and Syracuse, were able to pull out wins and the Cardinals needed a late-game defensive play in the end zone to survive and pick up the conference's second win of December. Now that the season is officially over, it’s time for the final ACC football power rankings for the 2024 season.

It was a disastrous year for the Seminoles, but expect Mike Norvell to turn them around in 2025 and back into a bowl game. It can’t get any worse in Tallahassee.

Who would have thought that the Cardinal would have wins over Syracuse and Louisville in 2024? College football baby.
