It has been a quiet 2026 NFL Draft through the first two days for the Virginia Tech football program. One former Hokie was selected in the first round on Thursday night when Mansoor Delane was picked sixth overall by the Kansas City Chiefs.

Three rounds are in the books after Friday night's final pick, and now all eyes shift to what is expected to be an active day with the final rounds being picked. There is a chance that some Virginia Tech players could hear their name called before the draft ends on late Saturday afternoon. Here are three that could be steals in the later rounds.

3 Virginia Tech players who could be Day 3 draft steals

Tomas Rimac

It wouldn't be surprising if Tomas Rimac gets picked on Saturday and ends up being a better player at the next level than some have him pegged for. A good run blocker, Rimac spent years under the guidance of offensive line coach Matt Moore at West Virginia and Virginia Tech. He isn't going to blow scouts away, but could be a pick that is a low-risk, but high-reward.

Terion Stewart

Could a second Hokies running back get picked for a second straight year? It should happen as Terion Stewart is someone who the Hokies wish were healthy all of last season, but he has a bruising NFL back-type body. He doesn't have blazing speed, but he could be someone who could be used as a short-yardage back in certain situations. If he doesn't get picked, he should come off the board quickly as an undrafted free agent following the draft.

Kyron Drones

OK, so the thing about quarterback Kyron Drones is that if he is drafted, whoever nabs him would use him as a QB, but at another position. He was more of a runner this past season; a lot of the time, he was scrambling for his life and to extend plays, but he was more dangerous with his legs than as a passer. He mentioned that there were no conversations with teams about moving to another position other than a signal caller, but it certainly is in play.
