Virginia Tech is a fun to watch

There are times when you get frustrated watching the Hokies this season, but truth be told, they are a group that is fun to watch. There are times when you say, “What are they doing?’’ but they are a group that hustles, plays hard, and competes until the end. That was evident against NC State.

A month ago, down 15 points in the second half, Virginia Tech would have lost that game by 20 or 25 points. Now, they are competing until the end against more talented teams and finding ways to win. Their wins over Miami and the Wolfpack are evidence enough that this team is worth watching, regardless of the outcome. It will not lead to an NCAA Tournament berth, but each win should make the higher-ups, including Whit Babcock, realize that Mike Young deserves more support than what he is getting. Mike Young is not even close to what’s wrong with the Hokies program.

Things will get a lot tougher on Saturday when Wake Forest comes to town, but whatever happens, this team is worth tuning into to watch for two hours in the afternoon.
