No. 6: North Carolina State (6-2, 1-0)

The Wolfpack have an ACC win over Boston College but lost at Mississippi in the ACC/SEC Challenge They have a big opportunity this week with a game against No. 17 Tennessee in San Antonio to get a resume-building victory.

Games this week: Dec. 12 vs. Tennessee-Martin, Dec. 17 vs. Tennessee, in San Antonio.

No. 5: Duke (6-3, 0-1)

It’s rare for the Blie Devils to have a two-game losing streak this early in the season, but here we are. Duke lost at Arkansas then at Georgia Tech. Head coach John Scheyer has some things to fix and you would think that by the time ACC play kicks into gear, they’ll get things figured out.

No. 4: North Carolina (7-2, 1-0)

The Tar Heels rallied to stun Florida State but dropped an 87-76 game to Connecticut in New York. They have a chance to get an impressive this week when they play Kentucky in the CBS Sports Classic in Georgia.
