Through the first month-plus of the 2023-24 College Basketball season, the ACC has seen some mixed results in non-conference games. There were some big games this past week with some results that big for the conference, while some of the top teams in the conference who we thought at the beginning of the season were going to be strong have sputtered early in the campaign. Here are the latest ACC Power Rankings for Men’s Basketball.

ACC Men’s Basketball Power Rankings

No. 15: Notre Dame (4-5, 0-1)

New Notre Dame coach Micah Shrewsbury and his team dropped their ACC opener to Miami on Dec. 2, 62-49, then rebounded to beat Western Michigan at home last Wednesday night. Saturday night, they lost 78-59 at Marquette. Under .500 the Fighting Irish have one game this week against Georgetown.

Games this week: Dec. 17 at Georgetown.

No. 14: Louisville (4-5, 0-1)

The Cardinals lost at Virginia Tech in their ACC opener on Dec. 3 and looked like a program taking a step in the right direction under Kenny Payne. Louisville underwent a rather weird situation against Bellarmine on Nov. 29 when guard Ty-Laur Johnson did not play in the first half because the program did not have the correct compression tights for him. No lie.

Games this week: Dec. 13 vs. Arkansas State, Dec. 17 vs. Pepperdine.

No. 13: Florida State (4-4, 0-1)

It was a brutal start to ACC play for the Seminoles who blew a 14-point lead at North Carolina, 78-70. Florida State does own a six-point win over Colorado and suffered a two-point loss to Georgia in the ACC/SEC Challenge in late November.

Games this week: Dec. 16 vs. SMU.
