Where is College Gameday this week? Army vs. Navy
By Scott Roche
For one last time in the regular season, ESPN College Gameday is making a stop. This time, they will be at the only FBS game on the schedule this weekend at the annual Army/Navy game. There is a lot of tradition with the game and having it a stand-alone game is one of the better college football games on the schedule.
ESPN announced who the guest picker is this weekend and it’s someone who has some ties to the game.
ESPN College Gameday announces guest picker is Bill Belichick
College Gameday will be at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass., home of the New England Patriots, and the guest picker is Patriots coach Bill Belichick. He has ties to this particular game and has already been a fan of the rivalry.
Bill’s father, Steve, served in the United States Navy, then was a scout on the staff for 30 years after a couple of short coaching stops at other schools.
Belichick should be in a good mood after the Patriots picked up their third win of the season Thursday night with a 21-18 win over Pittsburgh on the road as New England improved to 3-10 and put a dent in the Steelers playoff hopes.
How to Watch Army/Navy
The game will not be broadcast on the ESPN Networks as the game from Gillette Stadium will be on CBS. Saturday, however, there is still no shortage of games on the ESPN Network as the FCS Playoffs reach the quarterfinals and there are three games on tap.
At noon, ESPN will have Villanova at South Dakota State, then at 2:30, powerhouse North Dakota State will play at South Dakota. The University of Albany plays the final quarterfinal-round game at Idaho at 10 p.m. and that will be broadcast on ESPN+. Of course, the games can also be found on FuboTv.
