Thirteen weeks of the college football regular season is down and all that is left this weekend is the conference championship games. Despite the regular season being over, the work for ESPN College Gameday is not done.

This weekend, the crew of Desmond Howard, Reece Davis, Pat McAfee, Lee Corso, and Kirk Herbstreit are on the road for championship weekend one week after being in Ann Arbor, Michigan for Ohio State and Michigan..

Where is College Gameday this week?

There was no shortage of selections for them to choose from this week with all the conference championship games. Their choices were the Big 12 title game between Oklahoma State and Texas in Dallas, the ACC title game between Florida State and Louisville, and the Big Ten title game in Indianapolis between Iowa and Michigan. In the end, the College Gameday crew is going to be in Atlanta for the SEC Championship game between Alabama and No. 1 Georgia.

It is not surprising that they are going to be there as it is one of the more interesting matchups that throw the College Football Playoff into chaos. How so? Considering the following.

Georgia is a favorite to win the game over the Crimson Tide, however, you never want to count out a Nick Saban-coached team. Alabama enters with one loss to Texas in September, but they are currently ranked No. 8 in the latest CFP rankings and even a win over the Bulldogs makes it highly unlikely that they get selected into the top four on Sunday.

An Alabama win, however, opens the door for a lot of conversation as to what the playoff field looks like. Does Georgia still get in with a loss? Most likely, yes, they do, but a Crimson Tide win makes everything more interesting.

I for one, would love chaos.
