Last season, the Virginia Tech women’s basketball team made school history by winning their first-ever ACC Tournament championship, before winning the Seattle Regional in the NCAA Tournament and earning their first-ever trip to the Final Four in Texas. They lost in the semifinals, 79-72, to eventual champion LSU, but the seeds were planted for the future of the program.

Like the men, the women had their 2023-24 ACC schedule announced on Sept. 26, and combined with a monster non-conference schedule, the Hokies are going to be in plenty of primetime slots this upcoming season, and why not? There is no shortage of matchups that will air on primetime this season, including in the first annual ACC/SEC Challenge this season.

Virginia Tech women’s basketball game’s national TV schedule

  • Nov. 9, 2023: Virginia Tech vs. Iowa (Charlotte, North Carolina), TBA, ESPN
  • Nov. 30, 2023: Virginia Tech at LSU, 9 p.m., ESPN
  • Dec. 17, 2023: Virginia Tech at Rutgers, 5:30 p.m., FS1
  • Jan. 14, 2024: Virginia Tech at Florida State, 1 p.m., ESPN
  • Feb. 4, 2024: Virginia Tech at North Carolina, 12 p.m., ESPN2
  • Feb. 18, 2024: Virginia Tech at Louisville, 1 p.m., ESPN
  • Feb. 29, 2024: Virginia Tech at Notre Dame, 7 p.m., ESPN

One takeaway from the national TV schedule is that the Hokies don’t play any games at home as they are all either neutral site games or true road games. That comes with success and if there is one other takeaway, it’s not going to be easy and they wouldn’t want it any other way.

A majority of the other games are either going to be broadcasted on the ACC Network or CW Sports and the two games in the Cayman Islands Classic on Thanksgiving weekend against Kansas and Tulane has yet to have which channel it’s on announced.

There is a lot of hype surrounding the Hokies in 2023-24 and rightfully so after the postseason run they had in the ACC Tournament and NCAA Tournament and they will be getting more exposure this season with their national TV schedule alone.
