Virginia Tech adds offensive threats from the transfer portal on offense

Pry added three wide receivers from the transfer portal and they should make a big difference for the offense this season than the way things went last season.

Virginia Tech added Ali Jennings from Old Dominion, Jaylin Lane from Middle Tennessee State, and Da’Quan Felton from Norfolk State. All three were named to the Reese’s Senior Bowl Watch List Wednesday before playing a snap in Blacksburg.

All three are speedy receivers that are deep depth for Wells or Drones, whoever is named starting quarterback by Pry. It would be surprising not to see Wells named the starter in his senior season when he finally has some game-makers on the outside.

If the Hokies are going to get to Bowl eligibility this season, they are going to need more big plays from their skills players and Pry has gone out and added skill position depth and some experienced college receivers. Expect the Hokies to put up more points in 2023.
