Hokies get ACC Win over Boston College – Quarter by Quarter Summary

GAME SUMMARY – 1ST QUARTER

Boston College began the game with the first offensive possession.  However, on the second play of the drive, Phil Jurkovec was intercepted by Armani Chatman for a 33 yard return.  The Hokies were in excellent field position as a result.

Keshawn King began the game picking up where he left off in the loss to ODU, and had a reception for close to a first down.

The Hokies went for it on 4th and 1 and BC was called for an offsides penalty, resulting in an automatic first down.

Connor Blumrick caught a pass to the 1 yard line.

The Hokies went for it on 4th and Goal, and Jalen Holston scored a touchdown for the first score of the game.

VT 7, BC 0.

BC struggled early offensively, and did not have a first down in the first quarter.

Blumrick was able to gain 13 yards for a first down into the red zone on a Hokie drive, setting up a 49 yard field goal.

VT – 10, BC – 0.

VT was able to move the ball for 5 first downs in the quarter, while BC did not get a single first down in the first quarter.
