The NFL Draft has been a wild ride for Caleb Farley, at one point he was CB1 on many analysts boars. Now after questionable medicals and strong concerns about his back injury he may not even be the fifth cornerback off the board. Farley has had an unprecedented fall in recent weeks. Going from locked in at a top-15 pick, to possibly being outside the top-60 picks in this month’s NFL Draft.

Farley may have been able to overcome some of this if he spent more time in the position.
As far as the top-10 corners go, Farley has spent less time at the position than the rest of them. He has not had the experience or game time, what he does have though is insane athleticism and feels for a position he’s new at. He showed out at Virginia Tech and showed he can play at a very high level in the NFL.

Right now, most of the league needs a starting corner. The entire AFC West for example needs a starting corner.

We could see some leveling off of his draft stock though in the coming days. This is the time where smokescreens become reality and reality becomes fantasy. So it is hard to sift through what is true and what is not, we could have seen a team blow his medicals far out to the media, to let him fall. The second round looks to be not only his floor but also the soonest he will be drafted.

Who will be looking to draft one of the most unique players of this year’s class?
