I joined The Drive with Paul VanWagoner on Thursday afternoon to discuss both the state of the Hokies baseball program, as well as the status of Zach LeDay and Seth Allen in the NBA.
New head baseball coach John Szefc hired one of the best young pitching coaches in college baseball in Ryan Fecteau, and the onus will be on the two of them to improve the worst pitching staff in the ACC from last season. Their work will be cut out for them, as veteran pitchers Kit Scheetz and Packy Naughton are no longer in the fold.

On the hoops side, Zach LeDay and Seth Allen were not selected in last week’s NBA Draft. While the outcome on draft night for the two of them was expected, they both should have an opportunity to play professional basketball in some capacity moving forward.
They both have flaws in their game, but the athleticism and talent is there to contribute in the European game, at the very least.
These were just a couple of the topics touched on this afternoon, but the full audio can be found below detailing my entire radio spot.
The Drive on ESPN Blacksburg can be heard in the New River Valley in Southwest Virginia Monday through Friday from 4 to 6 PM ET on 93.1 FM, 97.1 FM, and 810 AM.
