The official Virginia Tech football Twitter account threw shade at Coastal Division rival UNC, and it was glorious

The official Virginia Tech football Twitter account is no stranger to posting really good tweets. The social media team controlling the account has always done an outstanding job with humorous posts, such as this one from just this morning, firing back at a West Virginia fan account.

While this tweet is hilarious, it is not even the best tweet of the week from the Hokies football account. That award goes to their fantastic trolling of the UNC football program on Monday afternoon.

This, of course, references the Hokies’ complete dismantling of the Tar Heels last October in an absolute monsoon in Chapel Hill. North Carolina fans to this day defend that game to no end, claiming things may have been different than the 34-3 throttling at the hands of the Hokies.

The two schools and corresponding fan bases don’t seem to like each other to begin with, which is natural as division rivals. There is no end in sight to this rivalry, as this will likely be one of many tweets from the Hokies shot in the direction of UNC prior to their next game in the fall.

One thing is for certain; there will be plenty of added juice to the latest installment of the game on October 21st, when the teams battle in Lane Stadium in what will likely be a pivotal game in determining the outcome of the Coastal Division in 2017.
