That magical time of the year is upon us Hokie fans. The time where Saturdays mean good food, and football on the television. But for the first week of this season, we all had to wait until Monday for a special Labor Day edition of Hokie football, but it should be well worth the wait.
When they take the field, the Hokies are going to be underdogs at home. The Hokies dominated the Buckeyes last season, but that was last season. This year the Virginia Tech will probably face a tougher challenge when they take on the reigning national champions.
But the last team to beat the Buckeyes? That’s right, our Hokies. Ohio State is returning a ton of talent, and will no doubt have it in mind to avenge their only loss of the season last year. This will be a big opportunity for Virginia Tech to redeem what was a disappointing season and to catapult themselves right back into the top 25.
The Hokies are going to have to excel in several areas in order for lighting to strike twice. There are many keys to this game but I have narrowed it down to the three most important for the Hokies to have success on Monday night.
