The Sleeper: Miami

The Miami Hurricanes became one of the top contenders as soon as Cager released his top 5, and seemed like a day or two ago that they may actually be the favorites for Cager. However, the Hurricanes seem like the sleeper to pull off the surprise for Cager along with another ACC team possibly.

The Hurricanes are losing their top wide receiver Phillip Dorsett, and will be looking to add some more wide receivers to put with Stacy Coley. Cager definitely has the potential to challenge for a lot of playing time and potentially a starting spot depending on how things work out this fall.

Miami has stability at the quarterback position with Brad Kaaya which is better than just about every other program on this list. Miami also has a lot of great history with 5 national championships though the program has a much different vibe in terms of winning than it did 15 years ago.

Miami has made a surge for Cager, but it seems like there big push may have came to early with a new team emerging as the overall favorite to land Cager. However, the Hurricanes definitely have the potential to end up luring Cager to Sun Life Stadium.

The fan support at Sun Life Stadium is going to be a major factor along with the fact that 12 players have decommitted from Miami in this recruiting cycle. Miami doesn’t seem like the favorite, but they could surprise many people.

Chance: 20%
