The Under Armour All-American Game is arguably the best game of high school football recruits along with the U.S. Army All-American Game. Annually, this game usually includes at least 6 top recruits announcing where they will play their college football in what are some of the most intriguing moments of this event.
This year, one of the players that will be announcing during the Under Armour All-American Game is four-star defensive tackle Tim Settle.
Settle shrunk his list down to five teams around the early part of December which included the eliminations of programs like Clemson, Penn State, and Tennessee. Recently, Settle cut his list of five down to three by eliminating Oklahoma State and Washington State, two programs that received official visits from him.
Now, it’s down to Virginia Tech, Louisville, and USC for Settle.
Settle is ranked as the 168th best player in the nation by Rivals, 78th best by the 247 Sports Composite, and 17th best by ESPN who also has him as a five-star recruit. ESPN has Settle as the second best recruit in the state of Virginia, Rivals has Settle as the tenth best prospect in Virginia, and the 247 Sports Composite has him as Virginia’s third best recruit.
Settle is definitely one of the top defensive tackles as proven by how he is ranked as the 11th best defensive tackle by the 247 Sports Composite, 14th best by Rivals, and 4th best by ESPN. Settle’s ranking could change some depending on how well he does in the Under Armour All-American Game, and the practices and drills leading up to the game on the day after New Year’s.
Settle’s recruitment has taken some surprising twists, but we now have plenty of clarity ahead of Settle’s decision in St. Petersburg. Let’s take a look at the chances of each of Settle’s three finalists of getting him plus a prediction.
