Hokies Football: Top Remaining Class of 2015 Recruiting Targets
By Tim Thomas
6. RB Bryce Love
Bryce Love is a 4-star running back from Wake Forest High School in Wake Forest, North Carolina that seems likely to make his decision on National Signing Day. Love has tremendous speed and is considered an all-purpose back by 247 Sports and Rivals.
Love is ranked as the 113th best player in the nation by Rivals, 210th best by ESPN, and 220th best by the 247 Sports Composite. Love is ranked as the 6th best player in North Carolina by Rivals, 8th best by ESPN, and 7th best by the 247 Sports Composite.
The Hokies received an official visit from Love back on September 19th and have remained one of the contenders for Love. Virginia Tech definitely has a chance at getting Love though it seems fairly clear that the Hokies are not one of the two favorites to get the four-star running back.
The Tennessee Volunteers are definitely one of the two favorites for Love, and will receive an official visit from him on January 23rd. Tennessee has been consistently near the top of the chase for Love and it would not be surprising to see Butch Jones get another very good recruit.
However, the Stanford Cardinals have made a big surge for Love, and seem to be the favorite with 50% of Love’s 247 Sports Crystal Ball favoring the Cardinals. Stanford is known more for power running backs, but David Shaw may want to add a little speed out of the backfield with the speedster from North Carolina.
Virginia Tech’s chances of getting Love aren’t good, but the Hokies have a chance.
