Recruiting for the Virginia Tech Hokies has been up and down as the Hokies have had plenty of success recruiting defensive players with 10 defensive commits. However, the Hokies have struggled with offensive players with only two offensive commits so far in 3-star running back Deshawn McClease and 3-star tight end Chris Cunningham.
The Hokies have some big-time offensive targets still and one of them will take an official visit to Virginia Tech.
4-star running back Bryce Love of Wake Forest High School in Wake Forest, North Carolina knows where he will take four of his official visits to and Blacksburg is one of the destinations. Love is rated as the 209th best player by ESPN, 190th best by the 247 Sports Composite, and 106th best by Rivals. 247 Sports and Rivals list Love as an all-purpose back while ESPN lists him as a running back.
The Hokies are one of four teams that will get visits from Love and here are the other three from this tweet by Rivals’ Adam Friedman.
The Hokies are going up against some very interesting competition to get Love who might just be the fastest recruit in the Class of 2015. Love has apparently ran a 4.30 40 yard dash time which is one of the fastest times by any player. Love seems to also be able to make some plays in the passing game and has some similarities to De’Anthony Thomas and Dri Archer.
The Hokies are definitely serious contenders for Bryce Love.
