Entering last season, the Virginia Tech Hokies had a lot of concerns with a wide receiver group that looked like one of the weakest for the Hokies in a long time. The only guy that looked like a sure thing on the roster was senior D.J. Coles. By the end of the season, there was tons of excitement about the Hokies’ wide receivers and entering this fall, the Hokies now have one of the best wide receiver corps they’ve had recently.

So, who are the Hokies’ top 5 wide receivers?

This is a very tough question trying to figure out the fifth and final wide receiver but I think we can all agree that Joshua Stanford, Carlis Parker, Demitri Knowles, and Willie Byrn are the top 4 wide receivers but the order is quite interesting.

There are no incoming freshmen that made this top 5 as while Isaiah Ford could be a guy that can sneak his way on to a list like this in the future, he is still an unknown for now. The battle for the fifth spot came down to Charley Meyer and Deon Newsome and now, let’s take a look at the top wide receivers for the Hokies.
