Today is the day as the 2014 NFL Draft has finally arrived and 32 players will be selected in tonight’s first round of the seven round NFL Draft. Last year, the Hokies missed out on having a first round pick but Kyle Fuller seems just about certain to be a first-round pick tonight with a good chance that he goes in the top 20. Kyle Fuller has steadily rose throughout the process and that has to be due to how he has been healthy throughout the process and the tape from this past season was also quite impressive. So, who are the top 3 teams that could end up selecting Kyle Fuller?
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers have the 15th pick and there have been trends in mock drafts with Kyle Fuller possibly going here. Kyle Fuller would be able to make a very good transition from Blacksburg to Pittsburgh as Fuller would fit well as a physical cornerback in a tough defense like the Steelers. Pittsburgh also needs help at the cornerback position which makes Fuller a very good fit with the Steelers scheme. However, Fuller could fall past here if Darqueze Dennard is here which is what I think will happen.

New York Jets
Some could say that the Dallas Cowboys are a more likely spot but I think the Cowboys go with a wide receiver but the Jets could go with a tough, physical cornerback. Kyle Fuller would be that tough, physical cornerback that Rex Ryan has enjoyed having in the past with Darrelle Revis. Also, Kyle Wilson seems like a bust and Dee Milliner has had some struggles but Fuller is a guy that can come in immediately and play at a starting caliber level with a fairly big ceiling. Fuller could be a great pickup here though it woulnd’t surprise me if the Jets go with wide receiver here.
Cincinnati Bengals
Now there are mutliple landing spots in between the Jets and Bengals like the Green Bay Packers but I think Kyle Fuller will end up being the third cornerback off the board and be headed to the AFC North division champs. The Bengals need a quality cornerback across from Leon Hall and Kyle Fuller can be a guy who can be a very effective number 2 cornerback as a rookie. With the Baltimore Ravens adding Steve Smith and the Cleveland Browns likely to take Sammy Watkins if he is available, the Bengals could use some help at cornerback across from Leon Hall and Fuller can bring exactly that.
