Virginia Tech Golf had a very strong fall with junior Scott Vincent setting a new school record with 3 individual victories in the fall. Spring has arrived and Vincent has continued to be solid for the Hokies but another golfer for the Hokies is one victory away from being tied with Vincent for the single-season record.
Trevor Cone dominated the two tournaments the Hokies competed in during the month of March and was rewarded with ACC Player of the Month. Cone is heating up at the right time with the big 3M Augusta Invitational coming up this weekend before the ACC Championships. Cone has earned his right to be the ACC Player of the Month and became the second Hokie to do it this season after Vincent got the award for the month of September.
Trevor Cone picked up two individual victories this past month at the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular and the Furman Intercollegiate. Cone also helped lead the Hokies to a team victory at the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular and a team tie for first at the Furman Intercollegiate. Cone has been quite good over the course of the spring season and is entering his top form at the perfect time.
