Earlier today, the first and only recruit so far of the Virginia Tech basketball Class of 2015 made some news as shooting guard Warren Craft made the decision to decommit from Virginia Tech. The change at Virginia Tech makes this not a surprise as the coach that had recruited Craft to Virginia Tech is gone in James Johnson with Buzz Williams now in Blacksburg as the head coach. Warren Craft’s decision to decommit means that Buzz Williams will have the chance to build Virginia Tech basketball’s Class of 2015 from scratch. Here’s the tweet that came from HokieHaven.com this morning breaking the news.
Warren Craft was not really recruited by Buzz Williams so it isn’t a surprise that Craft has chosen to open his recruitment process back up. Craft also is another wing player and the Hokies are loaded with players like that which could make it hard for Craft to get much playing time in a couple of years. Craft could definitely still end up at Virginia Tech but for now, Craft is no longer committed to Virginia Tech.
