Meet The Team

Adam Firebaugh

Adam is a Contributor to FanSided's Fighting Gobbler and covers Virginia Tech athletics, and sports fandom more broadly, joining the site in November 2024. As a lifelong Hokie and graduate of Virginia Tech, Adam has closely followed Hokies sports for nearly two decades. In fall 2019, Adam worked as a student intern with the Virginia Tech football recruiting department. He currently lives in Washington, D.C. and is originally from Franklin County, Virginia.

John Buhler

John Buhler is the lead writer for FanSided.com. He specializes in covering college football and the NFL on a national level, as well as his hometown Atlanta Braves. Nearly a decade into his writing career at FanSided, he has also written about MLB, NBA, golf, tennis and the Olympics. Buhler is a University of Georgia graduate (2012), but he spent most of his time in Athens enjoying the finer things in life than studying business management. He co-hosts the national college football podcast False Start with his FanSided colleague Cody Williams, and hosts The Blogging Dirty Podcast to hype up his beloved hometown Atlanta Falcons. In his spare time, Buhler loves singing karaoke and dominating in bar trivia.

Scott Roche

Scott Roche is a sports journalist who has covered college and professional sports for nearly two decades. Scott has worked for daily newspapers as well as various websites. Scott has written for Call to the Pen and Friars on Base on the FanSided network as well as The Hockey Writers.
