Virginia Tech basketball has offered its second prospect for the 2022 class in center Patrick Wessler.

As Virginia Tech head basketball coach Mike Young continues to attempt to rebuild the Hokies basketball program, the second-year program director offered their second class of 2022 prospect this week on Wednesday in Patrick Wessler, a 7-foot, 240-pound center from the Combine Academy in North Carolina.

Obviously, Wessler has great size and the trending prospect also embodies a remarkably soft touch on jumpers and around the rim for a recruit of his stature. However, he’s a talent who will definitely be much more improved in time, as he becomes more comfortable in his body and continues to add bulk to his wiry frame.

So far though, he’s already caught the eyes of many top college programs, as junior already holds offers from the likes of Charlotte, Creighton, East Carolina, Elon, Ole Miss, South Florida and Wake Forest.

Wessler transferred to Combine Academy this summer from Butler High School in his native Matthews, North Carolina. He averaged 18 points, 12 rebounds and 3.2 blocks per game in 2019-2020 for the 12-14 Bulldogs.
