Introduction

Well, here we are, Hokies fans. With just one day remaining to Selection Sunday, outlets across the web are evaluating where all of the teams will stack up when the final tournament bracket is revealed on Sunday evening.

Here at Fighting Gobbler, we have compiled some of the most popular brackets to evaluate potential seeding for the Hokies, as well as projected opponents in each of these brackets selected.

While it is easy to envision the Hokies being anywhere from a seven seed to a 10 seed when the time comes for the bracket to be revealed, the team that they play is completely up for interpretation until the time comes.

Although all of these projections of match-up are just that, projections, it is still fun to breakdown some of the possible opponents and how they ultimately stack up against Buzz Williams’ squad in the NCAA Tournament.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at some of the potential match-ups, as well as what each team brings to the table.
