The Virginia Tech Hokies have arguably the best secondaries in college football and it is not just because of the loads of big time talent the Hokies have at cornerback. It is also due to the fact that the Hokies have one of the best group of safeties in college football and are returning both of last year’s starters at the safety positions.

After looking at the Hokies’ top cornerbacks yesterday, we take a look at the top 3 safeties for the Hokies entering training camp.

Desmond Frye seems like someone who could play cornerback or safety though it seems like he is making a big shift to the rover position rather than be a cornerback. Frye has a lot of potential and could definitely end up on this list before next season but Frye is just on the outside of this list this year.

Holland Fisher has a ton of potential and could definitely be someone that comes in to Blacksburg and takes a lot of playing time after going to Fork Union Military Academy for a year. However, Fisher is still somewhat of an unknown and while I expect him to end up on this list next summer, Fisher just misses out this time around.

So, who are the top three safeties for the Hokies.
