Virginia Tech will take on North Carolina tomorrow. The Hokies, winners of 4 straight, will look to keep the good times rolling. Virginia Tech won their first conference game last week against Georgia Tech and will look to improve to 2-0 in the ACC. Logan Thomas is coming off of his best game of the season and will look to use his legs to lead the Hokies to another win.

Logan Thomas had an incredible game against Georgia Tech. He shined on Thursday Night football, and was Virginia Tech’s best offensive player. He will need to use his legs once again since he had so much success last week. Thomas was Virginia Tech’s leading rusher on the night, and was even making smart decisions. Hopefully, this is the new Logan Thomas and he will continue to play well for the rest of the season. How Logan Thomas plays will once again dictate the game, as he is by far the Hokies most important player.

The defense is getting Antone Exum back in the lineup. Exum has been great for Virginia Tech in his career, but he will not be an immediate stater. The main reason for that is the amazing play so far from freshman Brandon Facyson. Exum will be eased back in, but having him back is only going to help.

The defense will once again have to be huge. Virginia Tech’s defense is clearly not a fluke, and they are even being considered as the best in the country. Now, it is time to talk about the Tar Heels. The Tar Heels come into the game ranking 23rd in the country with passing yards. They average 296.8 passing yards per game, and will certainly present problems for the Hokies secondary. They have really struggled rushing the ball as they only average 100.3 yards in the game which is good for 112th in the country.

North Carolina’s quarterback Bryn Renner has tossed 7 touchdowns and 1117 yards on the season. Although he has thrown 3 interceptions, he has been rock solid for the Tar Heels. UNC has a mixed attack on the ground. A.J. Blue has rushed for 176 yards, and Romar Morris has rushed for 169 yards and 3 touchdowns. As for receiving Eric Ebron he has led the receiving core with 263 yards and a touchdown.

North Carolina comes into the match-up with a record of just 1-3. However, Virginia Tech should not take them lightly considering how inconstant our offense can be. Virginia Tech should be able to continue their hot streak and grab their 5th win in a row. Logan Thomas must carry the load once again and if he can, Tech should easily roll. I’m predicting a 24-10 Virginia Tech win. Follow the twitter account for updates tomorrow during the game!
