According the Frank Beamer’s website, cornerback Brandon Facyson could see some time at wide receiver with Antone Exum back in the lineup. This is very interesting since Facyson has been great for the Hokies on defense. He has 4 interceptions and 10 tackles so far on the season. The freshman has been impressing but it appears that his time as a starter may be coming to an end.

While it is great news that Exum is on his way back, benching Facyson just doesn’t seem right. However, it appears the team is seriously considering moving him over to the offensive side of the ball. He could provide the wide-receiving core with big play ability, which they have been lacking all year. Quarterback Logan Thomas needs all the help he can get on offense, and Facyson could make a difference. It will be interesting to see if the rumors are true, and where Facyson winds up. Brandon Facyson deserves to see the field and it will be a shame if the Hokies can”t find somewhere for him to play.
