Virginia Tech will take on Georgia Tech tomorrow night on ESPN. The Hokies will be looking for their fourth win in a row, and look to win their first conference game. It will be difficult however since they are taking on an impressive GT team. Georgia Tech is undefeated and is looking legit. However, Virginia Tech has won the last 3 meetings between the teams.

Georgia Tech is 29th in the country in terms of offense as they are averaging 484.7 yards per game. It will be hard for the Hokies to contain the yellow jackets run considering they are fourth in the country while averaging 345.3 yards per game. Their passing game is very spread out but the Hokies explosive defensive should be able to limit them.

Virginia Tech’s defense is going to have to be huge once again if they want to win tomorrow night. The defense has been tremendous  all year but they will face a major challenge tomorrow night. The Hokies are certainly capable of stopping the run and it will not be surprising if they do so easily. They will need a big play or two, but I see the defense continuing to roll and limit the yellow jackets.

Every game we talk about how important Logan Thomas is. Last week he was clutch and scored the game winning points. Thomas must limit his mistakes however if he wants to lead his team to another victory. If he can have similar success with his legs once again, I see Logan Thomas being a major difference maker tomorrow night. Also, the team will get Kicker Cody Journell back. Journell will need to be consistent and help the team out. His ablity to put easy points on the board could determine the outcome of the game.

Trey Edmunds and the ground game have to establish themselves early in the game. They have to more consistent just like the rest of the offense, and help Logan Thomas out. The run game has to step up in this big game as Logan Thomas simply cannot be the teams leading rusher every week. As for the wide-outs they must also continue to improve and help Thomas to gain more confidence.

Tomorrow nights game is going to be a tough task for the Hokies but I can see them coming out with the victory. If the defense plays as they have all year long, the Hokies could end up on top. Also, if Logan Thomas can be clutch, and limit his mistakes the Hokies should fair well. Look for the game to be close tomorrow, and expect each defense to play well. My prediction of the game is that the Hokies hand GT their first loss of the season by winning of a score of 24-21.
