Virginia Tech vs. Marshall Preview

Virginia Tech is seeking their 3rd victory in a row this Saturday. The main story for Virginia Tech has been the defense, and it will look to put together another dominating performance. Logan Thomas has improved somewhat, but is yet to play his best football. As for the rest of the team, the run game has been solid for the Hokies. The receiving core has improved but can play better. We all know how great the defense has been, and they should keep it up.

Now for Marshall. Marshall is giving up 252.7 yards per game which 5th in the country. They are only allowing 67 yards per game on the ground which is very impressive. As for the Thundering Herd’s offense, they are averaging 527.3 yards per game. Their passing offense is 21st in the country with an average of 312.7 yards per game.

Marshall will defiantely give the Hokies a challenge. Both teams have great defenses, so it will be fun to watch how they both perform. Here are the key factors to watch for in tomorrow’s game.

What To Watch For

  • Cody Journell and his ability to bounce back
