Virginia Tech is planning on redshirting Junior Corey Marshall. The defensive lineman has been absent for 3-months, but has been practicing with the team. However, the team is looking to move him to defensive end so that he can start the next two years. As for numbers, in his fist two seasons Marshall 4.5 sacks, and 39 tackles.

Corey Marshall has not been missed this season as the Hokies are tearing it up defensively this season. He would have found himself as a back-up and would not have seen the field that often. While i’m not here to bash Marshall, it’s just that the team is so stacked at the position. This is certainly a win-win for Virginia Tech and Marshall. It is a win for Marshal since he will get to be a starter to end his career at VT. It is also a win for Virginia Tech since they get to redshirt him, and continue to enjoy the success on defense for the rest of this season.
